Janis Black Warner has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry

Janis Black Warner is recognized for her expert leadership of PillowTalk Studio

ENCINO, CA, August 23, 2023, Janis Black Warner has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in sales and philanthropy, Ms. Warner has earned distinction as the owner and president of PillowTalk Studio, a unique bedding store. Since 2005, she has focused her efforts on creating custom down pillows and comforters, down alternative products and linen sets. Additionally, she has given a speaker series on mental health, “Janis Black Warner Speaking Series,” for the past 10 years and authored two books, “Janis Black’s Books of Inspiration.” She has even given copies of her books to President Obama, President Clinton, Justin Bieber and other significant figures.

Also dedicated to civil advocacy, Ms. Warner has lent her expertise as  board member and president of the President’s Club of Vista Del Mar for 40 years. She also was a board member of the Beverly Hills Police Foundation for 10 years and was on the foundation board for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Before establishing her company, Ms. Warner worked in business affairs for Home Box Office in 1984 and became the owner and executive consultant for beauty for baby and pregnancy pillows with California Feather and Down, which she founded with her husband in 1987. It was the fourth-largest down pillow manufacturer in the United States and had a juvenile product company under its umbrella. Through her work there, Ms. Warner innovated the body feather and down body pillow for pregnant women and was the top vendor for the product with more than 2000 body pillows sold monthly in the Right Start children’s catalog.

Following this time, Ms. Warner worked in sales for Dr. Seigal’s Cookie Diet Store for a year in 2007. To prepare for her professional journey, Ms. Warner completed coursework in business management from the University of Southern California in 1986. Well-qualified in her field, she is also a certified interior designer.

Within the coming years, Ms. Warner intends to complete her third book of inspirations as well as another work on mental health, Pain to Purpose: A Journey To Mental Health Wellness—Getting Rid of Stigma by Telling Our Stories.” Her philosophy is that life is a lesson and wants to leave a legacy including this perspective along with a lifetime of good works for her community.
